Piénsalo. ¿A que al día utilizas el verbo haber un millón de veces? Pues en inglés también lo hacemos. En esta clase vamos a ver there + to be en presente perfecto.
La teoría
Con sustantivos incontables en singular usamos there has been, y para el plural, there have been. Recuerda que, aunque en castellano siempre sea ha habido, en inglés hay que conjugar el verbo:
There’s been an accident on the M1.
There haven’t been many football matches on TV lately.
En la forma interrogativa se coloca el auxiliar al principio y, si hay adverbios, se ponen delante de been:
Has there ever been an Australian Pope?

Empecemos con frases en afirmativa. Recuerda decir claramente /dzéeas/ y /dzeeahhhávvv/.

Clave de pronunciación
Al pronunciar there cuidado de no decir /derrr/ en vez de /dzéea/. Y, siempre que sea posible, únelo a la palabra que le sigue.
Error común
Mucha gente no concuerda there + to be con el sujeto y dice cosas como there has been two meetings today en vez de there have been two meetings today. El verbo siempre tiene que conjugarse según el sujeto. ¡No lo olvides!
